Daily Tours – Dig the Tudors at Sudeley Castle
This October, archaeologists from DigVentures are unearthing the remains of an elaborate Tudor garden, lost in the grounds of Sudeley Castle.
Built by Thomas Seymour for his wife, widowed Queen Katherine Parr, these gardens were a manifestation of his love for one of the most famous queens in English history. Complete with extensive walkways, water features and potentially even a banqueting house!
Lying with the heart of this place where Tudor royals once entertained and explored, the dig is sure to turn up all manner of surprising discoveries. What did the people of the past leave behind? And what clues will the archaeologists find?
