Lying alongside the Southern wall of St Mary’s Church, this garden is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. As a symbol of her purity all the flowers are white.
This garden also marks the area where Katherine Parr and Lady Jane Grey would have entered the church for their daily prayers. It is believed that there was a covered walkway which led from Queen Katherine’s apartments to the Church, and the two topiary ivy figures represent them on their daily pilgrimage.
