We recognise that a historic site can present access difficulties. Sudeley Castle staff are always happy to help our visitors – please do not hesitate to ask.

Gardens

A circular route around the gardens is wheelchair accessible although some visitors may require assistance from their companion.

Health & Safety Advice

This is an ancient building. In the gardens and grounds there are uneven surfaces, steep terraces and steps, deep water features, non-edible plants, low branches and slippery surfaces in wet weather. Please take care.

Inside the castle there are also steep stone steps, uneven and slippery floors, other steps not immediately obvious and low doorways. Children must be accompanied and supervised at all times.

Dogs

We regret that dogs are not allowed in the castle grounds or gardens - including the adventure playground - apart from assistance dogs. Dogs are welcome at the Visitor Centre.

There are also footpaths surrounding the grounds including the Cotswold Way, the Wardens Way and the Gloucestershire Way perfect for dog walks, with views of the castle.
