On 19th April, in celebration of one of Sudeley’s best-loved treasures- the 16th Century Sheldon Tapestry, Sudeley has invited members of the British Tapestry Group to demonstrate their craft. Creating simple pieces inspired by the Sheldon Tapestry, Terri and Phillipa will introduce Sudeley visitors to the techniques of this historic tradition.
There will even be the opportunity for visitors to have a go at weaving for themselves – who knows- it may be the start of a brand-new hobby!
Also on the day, Sudeley conservators will be demonstrating textile conservation techniques in the castle library.
All are included within general admission.
