Elizabeth, Lady Ashcombe has been the chatelaine of Sudeley Castle for over fifty years. She first arrived in 1962 as the young American bride of Mark Dent-Brocklehurst, whose family has owned the castle since the 1830s. Following his untimely death, she has overseen the survival and successful development of Sudeley as a major heritage destination and has shared this historic site with an estimated 3.5million visitors.
