Sudeley Castle has been the choice for numerous TV and film locations over the past number of years. The castle and 1,000 acre estate offers an exquisite range of interior and exterior backdrops for film and photography work.

Sudeley's formal gardens, lawns and informal spaces provide historic and quintessentially English backdrops for fashion shoots, feature films and engagement shots.

Our beautiful gardens, ruins, estate and castle rooms offer many different backdrops and eras to create with, whether its present day, country house, Victorian, gothic or Tudor splendour we have secret passageways, award-winning formal gardens and romantic ruins and 1,000 years of butter coloured architecture to offer . The historic castle and its connection to Henry VIII, Richard III, the English Civil War and Katherine Parr make it a popular choice with historic documentary makers. Estate facilities including ample free parking, professional kitchens and holiday cottages.

Location Fees

Location fees vary depending on the size and timescale of filming, and the PR value for the Castle. Each enquiry is considered on an individual basis to cater for the needs of your project.

Please email events@sudeley.org.uk stating your company name and contact details, date/s required and a brief outline of the project for further details and a quote.

Engagement & Wedding Photography

All couples who hold their wedding ceremony or reception at Sudeley Castle are warmly welcome to use the Castle and Gardens for photographs.

We also welcome couples who wish to use Sudeley's beautiful gardens as a backdrop for their engagement moment or wedding photographs.

Drones

The use of drones is not permitted on or over Sudeley Castle & Gardens without permission.

If use is approved, the following conditions will apply

  • Operators must hold a valid CAA qualification
  • A risk assessment for the proposed flight
  • A method statement outlining what equipment will be used and a flight plan outlining where flying is proposed.
  • Flights must be kept within visual line of sight

Drone operators must also provide details of their Drone Registration Identification numbers.
