Follow the pathways past romantic ruins and formal gardens, or venture into the quieter corners where birdsong and spring wildlife create a tranquil mood.

Treat your mum to a captivating historic talk in the Chapel, where our guides explore Katherine’s remarkable role as a Tudor mother and stepmother, her relationships with Henry VIII’s children, Lady Mary, Lady Elizabeth and Prince Edward, and the compassionate, intelligent legacy she left behind.

Castle Coach House Tea Room
On Mother’s Day itself the Castle Coach House will host a special walk‑in tea room, open from 10am to 3:30pm, serving tea, coffee and homemade cakes.
To bring a little extra joy, every mother will receive a complimentary cupcake with her visit, along with a posy of daffodils to take home.
