Sudeley Castle and Gardens are currently seeking a Gardener to join the Gardening team!

The successful candidate will be undertaking a range of horticultural tasks to assist in the maintenance and development of Sudeley Castle Gardens to the highest possible standard.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Undertaking practical gardening tasks to maintain all areas and features, including lawns, herbaceous borders, roses, and hedges, through mowing, weeding, strimming, pruning, planting, watering, and leaf clearance
• Assisting with landscape maintenance in the grounds, including paths, hedges, drives, walls, fences and woodland.
• Maintaining good relations with visitors and other members of staff including volunteers.
• Safely using appropriate powered equipment in relation to the maintenance of garden areas and features, including ride-on mower and tractor

The successful candidate will have:

• At least two years’ practical experience of working in professional horticulture or in a similar setting
• Expertise in cultivation techniques, from propagation and pruning to pest control
• The passion and knowledge for garden plants, flowers and trees
• A keen eye for detail, well organised, and the ability to work effectively without supervision
• Strong communication skills, demonstrating professionalism and reliability

Please note, this is a full time role totalling 37.5 hours per week needing flexibility to cover weekends and holidays and offers an annual salary of £26,325.
