As you wander through Sudeley's historic grounds, discover the extraordinary story of Katherine Parr. Learn about her dangerous yet devout beliefs, her influential role as Queen, and the love story that began before her royal marriage and unfolded after Henry's death at Sudeley.

A Royal Resting Place

Your journey will culminate at the intimate chapel of St Mary's, where Katherine Parr is laid to rest. Here, experience the regal beauty of a replica dress based on a 16th-century portrait of Katherine. Throughout your journey, admire a prayer book belonging to Katherine, love letters and other artefacts from the highly anticipated film FIREBRAND, starring Jude Law as Henry VIII and Alicia Vikander as Katherine Parr

Firebrand, the much anticipated Hollywood movie about the life of Queen Katherine Parr is being released this September 2024. In celebration, Sudeley has partnered with Firebrand and SoGlos to give away 50 tickets offering you the chance to join for an exclusive screening night in the very place where her legacy continues.

Firebrand is set in 'blood-soaked Tudor England', with the screening taking place right here at Sudeley, where the real-life Queen Katherine Parr was laid to rest.
