This October half term, follow a trail of pumpkins through the grounds and historic rooms of Sudeley Castle and uncover the castle’s spooky secrets. Those who successfully count all of the Sudeley ghosts will receive a sweet treat at the end of their adventure!
Enjoy indoor owl experiences Monday to Friday during half term (additional ticket required) and meet Tudor ghosts and the Wise Woman on Saturday 31st October, experiencing storytelling at its best.

How many ghosts will you encounter?
As you explore all corners of the gardens and venture inside the castle walls, keep watch for the Sudeley ghosts – a collection of ghostly statues hidden throughout the pumpkin trail. Along the way, you’ll discover fascinating ghost stories and legends connected to Sudeley’s history and the surrounding area.
Can you find and count every ghost statue? Those who do will receive a sweet reward at the end of their adventure.
Ghostly talks in the Chapel
Twice daily, visitors can enjoy engaging talks exploring the ghost stories, folklore and mysterious history of Sudeley and the surrounding Cotswolds.
Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 26th October - 1st November (excludes Saturday 31st October).

Owl experiences
Monday to Friday 26-30th October, guests can enjoy owl experiences under cover in the atmospheric vaulted Castle Coach House.
This immersive session offers a unique opportunity to get up close and fly owls in a stunning historic setting.

Meet the Tudor ghosts
Join historical reenactors, seasoned performers from Past-Times Living History, as they bring Tudor history to life through encounters with Sudeley’s Tudor ghosts.
Visitors can also meet the Wise Woman and learn about the herbs, remedies, pills and potions that people once used to protect themselves from illness, bad luck and evil spirits.
