Sudeley's Springtime Tulips
Spring bursts into life at Sudeley Castle with Tulip Season, a vibrant celebration of more than 5,000 tulips unfurling across the Tithe Barn, the Secret Garden and the long east border of the Castle’s historic East Wing. Flowering throughout April and May, these dazzling blooms transform the grounds with colour, texture and a renewed sense of energy at one of the most enchanting times of the year.
As you wander through the gardens, you'll encounter bold tulip drifts in vibrant shades, delicate heritage varieties and sculptural modern forms set against Sudeley’s striking ruins and Tudor history. Interwoven through the borders are other seasonal highlights, from the fragrant spikes of hyacinth and the bright cheer of narcissus, to the soft hues of cyclamen, elegant fritillaria, and early emerging gladiolus - all adding to Sudeley's spring castle beds.
Whether enjoying a peaceful morning stroll or pausing for picture‑perfect moments among the borders, Tulip Season offers an uplifting day out in the Cotswolds, celebrating the beauty and promise of springtime in bloom.
