Wild Arts brings its famous Opera Show to Sudeley Castle for the first time.

Their opera evening is a love story built around your favourite opera classics, arranged into 75 minutes of musical delight. Sung by the stars of tomorrow and played by a string quintet of top chamber musicians.

You are welcome to arrive from 5pm to set up your picnic on the lawn and open the bubbly. Bring whatever you need to make yourselves comfortable - picnic rugs, tables, chairs and hampers are all welcome. There will be a bar onsite offering light refreshments.

For the performance, audience chairs will be set out for you on the Mulberry Lawn.

The performance will start at 6.30pm and there will be 30-minute around 7.10pm. The show will finish around 8.15pm.

Nearer the time, Wild Arts will email the programme and performers, directions and information on where to park.

Wild Arts is a new company that brings world-class opera to beautiful places around the UK. It nurtures young talent and runs music and singing projects in primary schools. More details on wildarts.org.uk.

Let me tell you that Wild Arts’ opera evenings are of a breathtakingly high, ROH-level musical standard – a gorgeous quintet of musicians and a most cunning choice of excerpts, mischievously well acted. I’d follow them anywhere. Libby Purves
