Step back into Medieval times during the summer holidays by taking part in our Knight Trail with opportunities to learn all the steps to becoming a knight from life as a squire to active service as a protector of the realm.
Pick up a trail map and look out for learning and interactive activities, from target practice to dressing up, as you explore the castle and grounds. Costumed storytellers will also be on hand to add a flavour of life when bravery and chivalry ruled.
Knight Trail
Ever wondered what it took to be a real live knight? In Medieval times it involved a lot of time and training, but this summer young visitors can learn tips and tricks for becoming one of these revered figures.
Pick up a map for our Knight Trail from 21st July - 31st August.
Medieval storytelling
Look out for storytellers bringing the Medieval period to life from 29th July - 31st August.
Please note these experiences will not take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays when falconry displays (included with general admission) will be happening on the Mulberry Lawn beneath the Banqueting Hall ruins.
